Abstrakt
The issue of the horses and material sources associated with them has long been neglected in the Hallstatt Period research (especially in Czech Republic), although it offers considerable potential for research into typological-chronological and consequently socio-economic, religious, communication and many others. Comprehensive horse research helps to understand not only its specific role in the life of prehistoric communities, but also prehistoric society itself, as it offers an look in to the socio-economic structures, especially elites.
The aim of contribution was to present collected available sources with topic of the horse in Moravia, to evaluate them, to present new typological-chronological system based on these findings and to present the new moravian Hallstatt Period chronology.
