Reaction of O with D2 in the rf 22-pole ion trap between 100 K and 270 K

Abstract

The interaction of O+ with D2 was studied experimentally using a cryogenic rf 22-pole trap. The reaction rate coefficient has value 1.0.10-9 cm3 s -1 in temperature range 100 - 270 K.

The measured data are within 20% systematic uncertainty in a good agreement with result measured at temperatures higher than 300 K using a guided ion beam experiment and with recent calculation.
