Abstract
In our paper, we will discuss the possibilities of measuring satisfaction in romantic relationships. We will attempt to define the terms marital satisfaction, marital adjustment, marital quality, happy couples and satisfaction in romantic relationships, which are sometimes mentioned in scientific literature as synonyms.
The main part of the paper will include a review of the historical development of scales measuring concepts mentioned earlier. Selecting and developing high-quality methods and ensuring their availability is something that we consider to be important for enabling scholars to further research satisfaction in romantic relationships.
