Abstract

The reviewed book is an in-depth study of a very specific type of offering procession regularly depicted on temple walls dating from Ptolemaic and Roman times in Egypt: the procession with Ka and Hemusut figures. The author provides a comprehensive insight into the complex and intricate nature of the Ka and Hemusut figures, primarily their occurrence on the so-called soubassement, but also elsewhere within the temple.
