Abstrakt
"Noli turbare circulos meos" was to be summoned by the famous Greek mathematician and inventor Archimedes when Roman soldiers invaded his house after they had conquered Syracuse, the last free Greek city in Sicily. Whether these words were spoken precisely in this wording is, and given the imprecision of the written sources, still be questionable, but their meaning goes beyond the episode of Archimede's death.
