Abstract
A report on the conference part of the FIT congress called Man vs. Machine? which took place in Berlin in August 2014 and focused primarily on the future of language services in relation to the rise of technologies in the filed of translation and interpreting.
The article summarises the main topics of the conference including machine translation, postediting of machine translation as well as the changing role of the translator in connection with the advance of translation tools in the market. The article also describes the panel discussion of the European Master's in Translation programme.
