The chapter introduces the Prague German magazine Die Wahrheit (1921-1938), which has so far barely been the subject of research. After introductory characteristics based on the self-presentation in programmatic editorials as well as the archive documents, selected articles from the 1920s and 1930s are analyzed regarding two main topics and their interrelationships: Europe/Europeanism and Judaism.
As diverse as the essayistic and literary contributions in this regard, a tendency can nevertheless be found in a considerable part that tries to think of a diversity and overlapping of cultural and national identifications instead of isolation and exclusion measures.
