Abstract
The objective of the paper is to analyse the process of rapid, revolutionary culture change. The author uses Papua New Guinea as an example of this type of culture change.
The author demonstrates on selected examples how the colonial situation shaped rapid transformation of the local communities in terms of technology, economy, and worldview.
