Pearl of Moravia. Painting decoration of the five rooms at Bucovice Castle

Abstract

Wall paintings of Italian character in Bučovice Castle were created during the lifetime of Jan Šembera Černohorský of Boskovice in the last 20 years of the 16th century. The paintings are situated in five rooms of the castle; they refer to the level of education, nobility and wealth of the donator.
