When a "prostomania" begins? Towards a debate on architectural space in the break of 19th and 20th centuries

Abstract
The term of architectural space is a modern invention. Although the traces of the spatial debate are known from 19th century, the paper claims that the historians of art about 1900 fulfilled the term by new content connected with the concepts of openess, substantiality and of mixture of the abstract and concrete notions.
