Abstrakt

This is a micro-study of the destruction and reconstruction of the North Bohemian mining town of Most in post war Czechoslovakia. At the same time, it serves as a wider analysis of the contradictory socio-economic, environmental and cultural modernization of Communist Czechoslovakia.
