Abstract
The review of The Dictionary of Slovak Literary Translators of the 20th century which explores the relations of literary translations into Slovak, historically interconnected with those into Czech. On the basis of analyzing the comprehensive introductory discussion of the topic by Katarína Bednárová, and the entries of individual translators, the review attempts to explicate the development and the dynamic of translating into Slovak.
It focuses on its main interests and achievements in the given era, and it considers the professional profile of a Slovak literary translator in general.
