Abstrakt
The paper draws on the author's practical experience of working with migrants and foreigners who come to EU in search of jobs. Particular attention is paid to intercultural competencies required of social workers and to intercultural work done by individuals engaged in caring professions.
The text is intended to tackle the topics of intercultural competencies and intercultural work as aspects of social work. The empirical layer of the paper relies on the author's hands-on experience and on the findings of authors listed in publications.
