Slavonic writers Julius Zeyer and Josef Holeček and their relationship to the Russian Empire

Abstract

The paper analyzes the relationship of two important and interesting characters of the Czech literary scene of the second half of the nineteenth century to the Russian Empire. Julius Zeyer and Josef Holeček traveled to Russia and worked here.

The paper focuses on the most important aspects of their relationship to this country.
