Central Europe at the threshold of history - Celts in written sources

Abstrakt

the chapter summarises the issue of two ethnonyms - Celts and Boii - which are essential for understanding the historcal development of central Europe in the last few centuries BC. based on analysis of written sources and history of research it is argued that both these terms have been used inadequately in the past and that they have to be treated with caution.
