Abstract
In the nesting season in 2019 the monitoring of the breeding of the kingfisher was carried out on selected streams in Prague and its surroundings and on the Berounka River and its tributaries in the Bohemian Karst PLA and its surroundings. Adults and nestlings of Kingfishers were ringed.
In total, 143 nestlings from 174 chicks which left the nest were ringed in Prague and its surrounding area, and 79 nestlings from 126 chicks which left the nest were ringed in the Bohemian Karst PLA and its surrounding area.
