The reflection of language, speech and communication in Czech Sign Language

Abstract

The text adresses mainly the lexical / lexical-semantic level of Czech Sign Language, particularly its so-called visual symbolism (the projection of iconicity into phonology); the iconic coding of language / speech / communication is connected esp. with one place of articulation (mouth) and with the relation of iconic and metaphorical mapping.
