Abstract

He is a 72-year-old man who was diagnosed with prostate adenocarcinoma in 2006. In October 2006 a radical prostatectomy and pelvic lymphadenectomy were performed.

The patient met all criteria necessary for the administration of radium-223 - it was castration-resistant prostate cancer with symptomatic bone metastases, without known visceral metastases or malignant lymphadenopathy larger than 3 cm, CT was in good performance and previous taxane treatment was ineffective.
