Abstrakt
The lecture told the story of a peculiar plant - wild out through a few figures, Della Porta, Bacon, Hooke and Cavendish, revealing one possible origin of the experimental and natural philosophical traditions out of magic. It showed the roots of this development as well as its application for the historiography of early modern science.
