Abstract
The publication is based on the text published by Karolinum in 2006 under the title Selected Chapters from Criminological Psychology. The original text is fundamentally innovated and extended with current knowledge and other individual chapters.
It deals with the following topics: selected characteristics of the offender; the victim, its characteristics and role within the CP; witness and testimony characteristics; the process of clarifying serious crimes from the psychological perspective; the investigator, his personality and the demands on his activities; forensic psychological expertise; penitentiary and postpenitentiary psychology and methods in forensic psychology. The publication is intended for researchers, practitioners, students, psychologists and lawyers, police officers, social workers and others.
