Abstract
The chapter introduce the reader with statistical procedures for continuous variables. While this type of analysis in the field of political sciences is rather marginal in the Czech Republic, this is not the case worldwide and it is therefore more than desirable to have knowledge of these techniques.
Basic methods of statistical analysis of quantitative data are presented: regression and correlation analysis. Practical use and interpretation of models is described on examples from the field of political science.
Models for aggregated and individual data are shown.
