Abstract
The Czech Republic has been ranking below OECD average in reading literacy (PISA) assesment. Foreign experience and research show that Latin lecture has significantly positive impact on students' reading literacy.
In the UK, programmes to reintroduce Latin to primary curriculum exist to support the goal of improving reading literacy in pupils.
