Abstract
On the basis of encyclopaedic articles from the Alphabet of Czech Culture, the paper aims to propose a general concept for the adaptation of specialist texts that serve the purpose of presenting factual information from different areas of Czech culture to foreign-language users. Emphasis is placed on the grammatical and lexical levels.
Modifications are described according to type and accompanied by examples from the resulting texts.
