Abstract
This article describes the celebrations of the Institute of Deaf Studies at the Faculty of Arts at Charles Unversity. It also contains basic information about the Deaf Studies study programme, its history, views of deafness and sign language.
During the celebrations, the international conference also took place. In the article, there are short summaries of all the talks by Czech and international experts from the field of Deaf Studies.
