Abstrakt
The contribution deals with the problem of the 2pl. middle ending in Proto-Indo-European. It deals with its form in all the important groups of IE languages.
Special attention is paid to the situation in Tocharian and Anatolian, which play a major role in the decision of the reconstruction of the form of the ending. Both families show that it is necessary to reconstruct the 2pl. middle ending for PIE, not as *-dhwe, but as *-dhh2we.
