Summary report of survey Graduate 2018

Publication

Abstract

It is a summary report from the Graduate 2018 survey. A total of 37 HEIs took part in the survey: 23 public HEIs and 14 private HEIs.

In total 21,116 questionnaires filled-in to the extent enabling analysis were collected. The target group consists of people who graduated from HEIs in 2013-17 (and had therefore received their degree one to five years previous) and who were no longer enrolled in a degree programme.

The Graduate 2018 survey was conducted at a period when conditions on the Czech labour market were unprecedentedly favourable for employees (and also for graduates of higher education institutes who are employed or who are seeking employment). There was record low unemployment and exceptionally dynamic growth in nominal wages in Europe.

The report covers many different aspects of the transition of higher education graduates to the labor market. The main topics of the report, which are also the titles of the chapters, are: Evaluation of higher education studies; The transition from school to work; The current work situation of HEI graduates; Competences; Regional mobility of HEI graduates; Social backgrounds of HEI graduates; Employers' views of HEI graduates.
