Abstract

The paper deals with the Soviet victory in the Second World War, or Great Patriotic War, and Soviet liberation, or "liberation" (in inverted commas) of various nations of the Central, Eastern and South-eastern Europe created conditions for shaping the myth of liberation by victorious Soviet Union which dominated in socialist satellite countries of the Soviet Block.
