The role of Havana in the life of the bohemian jesuit missionaries

Abstract

The article deals with the participation of the members of the Bohemian Province of the Society of Jesus in the Spanish America. It concerns especially the first impressions of their encounter with the conditions of the Caribbean region.

Cuba and Havana were an important point for some of them, as well on their journey to the Indias, as well on their violent return to Europe.
