Abstract
The today's Klánovický les/Klánovice Forest is situated on an area where three villages and their economic hinterland were situated in the High and Late Middle Ages, mainly fields and partly permanent pastures and meadows. The article presented deals with the deserted village of Hol, the relicts of which have been well preserved on the surface.
The village had been founded in the 2nd quarter of the 14th century and deserted in the 1st quarter of the 15th century, had a regular village green layout, including about 24-26 farmsteads, and a heterogeneous arrangement of fields covering approx. 250 ha, partially with strip and partially with land block parcellation. Geochemical research showed that medieval settlement and agricultural activities manifest themselves significantly to this day not only on the surface of the terrain but have left traces in the soil composition.
