Abstract
The presentation aims to give a panoramical view of journeys realized to Spain by the inhabitants of the Czech lands along the centuries, to classify the travels according to its purpose (diplomatic relations, religious pilgrimages, studies, the grandes tours of the nobility, military service) and to observe the common of them till the 18th century in contrast to some "modernization" in the 19th century (journeys of the middle classes, intellectuals and artists; new means of transport - train; new destinations - Gibraltar, Tanger, the Balearic Islands).
