The article discusses the relationship between art and habit. The author conceives art not only as opposed to habit, but as a special form of habit.
The main aim of the article is to answer the question after the end of art from this perspective. Attention is first focused on two insights into the nature of habit in the work of Karel Čapek and Jorge Luis Borges.
Subsequently, the author observes the resonance of these insights in one of the current versions of the approach, which conceives the relationship between art and habit as essential, in the concept of works of art as "strange tools" by Alva Noë.
