The New World in Czech language : Brazil since the Discovery till the Independence,

Abstrakt

The presentation give a panoramic view of the first repercussions of the discovery of Brazil in Czech language, as well printed, as manuscripts (16th and 17th century). Follow testimonies of persons who were in Brazil (Jesuit missionaries, also of the Czech lands) and other sources about Brazil (cartography of the 17th and 18th century).

At the beginnings of the 19th century come the expedition of "Austrian" naturalists (among them the Czechs Mikan and Pohl), accompanying the future Empress Leopoldine.
