Abstract

The chapter presents the current state and problems of the content of teacher study programs. It aims to open the often "closed gates" of the teaching of individual subjects and to seek common denominators of teaching.

These are the broader competences of "learning for a life responsible to people and nature", both in the background of a common base and in individual teacher fields (in a new concept in teacher programs). The chapter provides the structure for following chapters dedicated to above mentioned topic in different teachers study programs.
