Publication

Abstract

The aim of the project was to create a stable, biologically soluble dietary supplement that will have a positive effect on strengthening the immune system and in particular will be epigenetically active. The formulation was optimized by adding powdered goat milk powder and black pepper to increase the stability and shelf life of the product.

Another ingredient - steviol - was added to improve the taste. The curcumin-containing dietary supplement was made without the use of preservatives and artificial stabilizers.

The stability of the supplement can be greatly improved by the addition of rose extract (Rose canina). The extract shows, inter alia, antioxidant and antimicrobial activity.

In particular, the aim of the innovation is to increase the bioavailability and bioactivity of the curcumin mixture containing 48.96-62.46 wt. dried goat milk and 30-40% curcumin extract, 0.04-5% steviol, 7.5-10% black pepper, the preparation may also contain 0-5% rosehip extract. The moisture content of each component prior to mixing and homogenizing is at most 15% by weight.
