An enigmatic ritual of "Smoke purification by fox" (wa bsang) in the Tibetan Tradition of Bon

Abstract

The paper deals with ritual purifying the pollution by incest through burning foxes. It has not been known yet and witnesses performance of animal sacrifices in Tibet which were used in purificatory rituals as "blood-fumigation" (dmar bsang).
