Abstract
This volume brings a collection of essays and studies dedicated to various subjects related to religion, which were written in 1979-1983 by the biologist and philosopher Zdeněk Neubauer (1942-2016). At its core is a new critical edition of two text corpora entitled Deus et natura (1979) and Nový Areopág (The New Areopagus, 1983).
These two texts are interconnected both by their subject matter and tie of origin. Both were also in various forms unofficially distributed already at the time when they were written and lated published in print in 1990s.
The volume is introduced by a "bi(blio)graphic note", in which Neubauer in 1999, twenty years after creating these texts, described his personal motivation and spiritual situation in which he wrote them.
