Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic disease with the potential to damage number of organs and systems. The painful and debilitating disease deeply undermines the quality of life affected patients by the lifetime.
In this article, we summarize the unusual situations in the therapy of rheumatoid arthritis in presence of extra-articular features (lungs, kidneys, cardiovascular disorders, rheumatoid vasculitis) or other complex situations (early arthritis, planned pregnancyand breastfeeding, infections, oncological diseases).
