Abstract

Upper Lusatia was for many years part of the Bohemian Crown (until 1635). The main forms of presentation of the king's power in the Crown Lands in the Middle Ages and early modern era were oath-taking journeys, which involved an oath of allegiance sworn by a country to a ruler and his ceremonial arrival and reception in a selected town.
