This study presents four modern Czech texts that are the results of "non-traditional" ways of adopting biblical text, that is, works which are obviously beyond the conventional trend of approach to translation strategies. It presents two complete New Testament editions: on the one hand peculiarly conceptualised translation, aiming at extreme literality, and accuracy, applying lots of non-standard linguistic elements, on the other hand versified adaptation of New Testament.

The following two cases are biblical excerpts: the biblical pericopes' paraphrase converting time and places to present-day (written by the experienced Bible translator) and anonymously released conversion of few New Testament passages into hantec (city dialect of Moravian city of Brno). In closing there is a short comparison to non-traditional forms of biblical text derived from the Polish and Slovak environments.
