Abstract

The article focuses on the relationship between the western portal of the Porta Coeli monastery in Tišnov and analogous portals in the Kingdom of Hungary. The founder of the Cistercian monastery is Konstancie Uherská, the Czech queen and daughter of the Hungarian Bela III.

The paper explores the possible origin of the iconographic program of the western portal in Tišnov in the Hungarian environment - especially the portal Porta Speciosa from Esztergom, but also other portals (Ják, Kapcsa, Bíňa, etc.)
