The Relationship between the King and the Prague Town Councils in the 16th and Early 17th Century against the Backdrop of Religious Developments

Abstract
Since the takover of the Bohemian throne by the Jagiellonian dynasty to the Battle of White Mountain Bohemian capital Prague together with the whole estate of royal cities faced the rapid decline of their of their political significance. The study follows this process on the example of the relationship between town councils of Prague to the sovereign.
Konfessional changes in favor of the Catholic party are shown on personal composition of town council of the Old Town of Prague.
