Summary: The authors of the paper submit a basic overview on the topic of secondary prevention of child injuries. The basic sample consisted of 5288 child patients who were treated at the Emergency Department for Children at Motol UH in 2018.
The research sample consisted of 688 child patients with head injuries. The data were obtained from the documentation kept in the ambulance.
Most cases of child head injuries occur in boys, during spring, at the age of 1 to 3. The most frequently provided examinations are an X-ray examination, neurological examination and CT examination.
Providing safe and tender health care can be ensured by creation and application of a single directive. Health care should be subsequently provided in a comprehensive, aimed and tender way and with regard to the particularities of child age, injury and symptoms.
