Abstract
The paper is focused on the analysis of managerial competencies and further education needs ofheadmasters of primary and secondary schools in the Czech Republic. The aim of the paper is toanalyse selected competencies and activities of primary and secondary school headmasters with afocus on their work activities related to the management of teaching staff.
The results of the analysisare based on the results of the authors' survey and on the secondary analysis of data from the Talis2018 survey. The results show that in further education of managerial competencies of headmastersare mainly human resources, financial management, providing effective feedback, developing acareer development program for teachers.
