Perforation of jejunal diverticulum as a less common cause of acute abdomen

Abstract

A case report of an 80 years old man examined for acute abdominal pain is presented. Physical examination, laboratory tests, abdominal X-ray and ultrasonography yielded no significant findings.

A day later, CT of abdomen showed perforation of one of jejunal diverticula. We discuss difficulties in diagnosing acute complications of jejunal diverticulosis, which is in contrast to colonic diverticulosis rare.
