Training of academic staff of Charles University in the field of pedagogical skills

Abstract

This paper introduces the strategy of development of pedagogical skills of academic staff at Charles University. Specifically, it discusses the general concept, theoretical background and content of a course entitled, Pedagogical Skills.

It furthermore examines the results of a research investigation of subjectively perceived pedagogical problems of the course participants: in this case, entry level university instructors.
