The Safenwil "Comrade Pastor" as a Key Witness of a left-wing Barthianism?

Abstract

Based on the sermons, political speeches and theological texts by the brother Barth, comrade Barth and father Barth from 1911-1921, which are now available in the complete edition of Barth's works (Karl-Barth-Gesamtausgabe), the author questions both the right-Barthian image of an apolitical and the left-Barthian picture of the politicizing pastor of Safenwil.
