The aim of this paper is to introduce the topics of predictive validity of different criteria (high school marks, entrance exams results, interview,...) in university entrance exams. Based on previous researches, this article presents an overview of different approaches to the definition of academic success.
Furthermore, the paper introduces an overview of many possible predictors of the academic success and discusses the importance of individual predictors (high school marks, university entrance exams, ...etc). The results of previous studies are compared one to another and concluded in a summary which states that using both predictors (high school marks and university entrance exams) leads to better prediction of academic success.
