Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2020

Abstract

In 59 chapters, some of which contain multiple texts, the electronic publication offers a survey of different samples of Hebrew script from Ashkenazic cultural realm from 14th-19th centuries. Each chapter contains a scan of the manuscript, transcription, Czech translation and palaeographic notes.

The publication includes a List of samples and an Introduction in English, which facilitates the use by a non-Czech speaking reader: He/she can still use the transcriptions and the Hebrew palaeographic explanatory notes when deciphering the original manuscripts.
