This study is focusing on fates of the aristocratic Kinsky family male from the Kostelec branch in the times of the so-called Third republic. The author reconstructed the lives of each male meber after the year 1945 from the archive materials.
She was mostly interested in how they dealt with the times of protectorate when the head of the family, father Francis Kinsky, was persecuted as a signatory of aristocratic declarations by Nazis. At the time of liberation, the protectoral activity was subjected to a small-scale view by the officials for the two oldest sons of Francis Kinsky - Friedrich Charles and Alphons.
The author also strived to depict in what way the family lived during the Third republic. An integral part of the work has becoma the life period in which members of the formerly privileged social group became the enemy of the new regime.
