Bacon : Artist and Man

Abstract

The contradictory individuality of the Irish painter Francis Bacon shone brightly on the horizon of post-war European art. The sharpened emotionality, the wounded humanity, the grimaces of human faces, and the wild brushwork combined with the playful contrast colors into a surprisingly harmonious painting.

The painter sometimes composed screaming appealing works into triptychs, close to sacred art. The lecture is realized for the cultural public within the third role of the university in the original author's cycle Artist and Man.
